Norsk Hostfest ending after 48-year run

MINOT, N.D. (KVRR-KFGO) – The board of directors of Norsk Hostfest say the annual Scandinavian festival is ending.

The board says rising costs and declining attendance led to the decision.

The festival was founded in 1978 by a group who wanted to celebrate Nordic culture through community, music, art, food, and education.

The board says that while the festival will not continue, people will still be able to visit the Scandinavian Heritage Park in Minot.
