MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) — A psychiatrist who was charged as an accomplice in her then-boyfriend’s fatal drive-by shooting in Moorhead last April is sentenced to probation.

33-year-old Abby Fredrickson pleaded guilty last October to a single count of aiding an offender in the shooting death of 39-year-old James Hamilton by 35-year-old Jerome Thomas.

Fredrickson was given a three-year “stayed sentence” of probation during sentencing Monday in Clay County Court.

Thomas and Fredrickson fled the area after the shooting and were arrested the next day in Michigan.

Ishpeming, Michigan is listed as Fredrickson’s address on court records.

Thomas is charged with first-degree murder and a trial date is still pending.
