FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – A time-honored tradition returned to the Fargodome this Saturday for breakfast delights and community fundraising.

The 68th annual Kiwanis Pancake Karnival once again brought in record-breaking numbers of folks for a delicious meal.

Organizers said they were confident they surpassed their previous best attendance figure of 11,000.

At $10 per ticket for adults, that’s a hefty amount of money raised – and the Kiwanis say that demonstrates the spirit of community that makes this event so special.

“We just said we’re pushing 10,000 people. Those are all tickets bought by people here, that come here, to do that,” said Cody Jochim of the Kiwanis. “That money that they are spending is going back into the community. ”

All the funds from this year’s Karnival will be split between the Great Plains Food Bank, Churches United, and Bridging the Gap, with the goal of helping children facing food insecurity.
