NDSU Launches Center for Banking and Finance
The new center promises to set up students for profitable careers in the banking and finance world through a host of resources.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – North Dakota State University has added a new academic center to its campus in order to expand opportunities for students in the world of banking.
Faculty and industry leaders gathered at the College of Business today to launch the Center for Banking and Finance.
The Center aims to give students hands-on experience with emerging financial technologies and help meet local workforce needs.
University staff says this is an indication of how much interest in this field of study has grown at the college.
“I think this center will allow us to have the bandwidth to be able to really expand what we’re offering. Expand our class offerings, expand our majors, minors,” said Mark Jensen, the director of the new center. “We want to be able to really do some more specific training and preparation of students for the industry – that’s a really high priority for us and the center.”
The center’s foundational banking partners include Dacotah Bank, Gate City Bank, Bell Bank and Western State Bank who attended the opening and are helping shape early student experiences and industry-informed programming.
