Benefit Held for Mark Liljequist
Mark had been feeling ill since 2018, but only recently received his final diagnosis.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The local community came out en masse this weekend for a benefit for a man with a terminal medical diagnosis at one of his favorite places.
The benefit for Mark Liljequist took place on Saturday at AMVETS in Fargo.
Mark recently was diagnosed with acute pulmonary fibrosis and likely has less than a year to live.
Friends and family, with the help of Lend a Hand Up, organized a silent auction, bake sale, and raffle to raise funds to make his remaining time as comfortable as possible.
They say the atmosphere in AMVETS was wonderful to see.
“Everybody here is awesome. They show up for one another, they’re amazing – this is the best place I think we can be,” said Heidi Britton.
So far, Mark’s online Lend a Hand Up page has raised just over eight thousand dollars.
