The pet daycare / boarding facility teamed up with a local animal rescue, who says their need to place animals in forever homes is near-constant.

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Cat lovers flocked to a Fargo pet daycare / boarding center for a showcase of adoptable felines.

Fetchers on 39th Street South referred to it as “CATurday” and teamed up with Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue to bring in some cats in desperate need of a furever home.

There were also free goodie bags, tours of Fetchers’ new “cattery”, and an informational booth regarding the Red River Animal Emergency Hospital Blood Bank.

Fetchers staff said they weren’t sure how this first-ever CATurday would go – and they were pleased with the turnout.

“Honestly, it’s been a fantastic turnout so far. We weren’t exactly who would see this event, but it seems like a lot of people want to get out there and see what’s going on and get some treats for their cat,” said Sophia Tupa, marketing and events manager for Fetchers.

Turtle Mountain Animal Rescue mentioned that they, alongside other rescues in the area, have been carrying close to their maximum capacity of animals – so the more people that can adopt right now, the better.
