Cando woman charged after breaking into Grand Forks apartment

GRAND FORKS, N.D. (KVRR/KFGO) — A Cando, North Dakota woman is accused of breaking into an apartment in Grand Forks and assaulting a woman.

Grand Forks Police arrested Marsha Counts on Saturday night after the victim reported that Counts and several others came into the apartment when she was sleeping.

Police say there is video evidence showing Counts hit the woman several times while she was on the floor.

Several items were stolen including a cell phone, credit cards and purse.

Counts is charged with robbery, burglary and three counts of theft.
