Jamestown woman could face charges after attacking police officer

JAMESTOWN, N.D. (KVRR) — A Jamestown woman is in the North Dakota State Hospital after attacking a police officer.
They were sent to the home of 21-year-old Emily Sather this morning for a welfare check.
When Sather opened the door, she lunged at the officer and punched them in the face.
A taser was used to subdue her and she was taken to Jamestown Regional Medical Center before being taken to the state hospital.
The officer was treated and returned to duty.
Police have responded to Sather’s location 14 times since last October.
Reports are being forwarded to Stutsman County State’s Attorney for formal charges.
