East Grand Forks School District: Enrollment Numbers on the Rise
School districts in the F-M metro aren’t the only ones experiencing record high numbers when it comes to student enrollment.
The East Grand Forks School District is also seeing more and more students walk through their hallways.
After years of declining enrollment, the district has welcomed more than 80 new students this fall.
As of October 1st, district enrollment has reached more than 1800 students.
The superintendent says many school districts are growing thanks to a booming population.
“Each school district has a little bit different level and each a unique need, but I think one common thing that you look at with all these school districts is that they’re updating facilities or they’re even having to expand facilities.” David Pace East Grand Forks Superintendent.
Pace says in the last two years growth has averaged about 1 to 1.5 percent.
