Fundraiser started to help cover surgery for retired Fargo Police K9 Blue

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — A GoFundMe has been started to help cover travel and surgery expenses for retired Fargo Police Department K9 Blue.

He was recently diagnosed with bilateral perineal hernias and an enlarged prostate.

Blue worked alongside his handler, Sgt. Sam Bollman, from August 2017 to December 2025.

In his over 1,000 deployments, 39 pounds of narcotics were seized along with $65,000 in cash and 119 arrests.

The fundraiser says K9 Blue was very instrumental in keeping the community and officers safe.
