Motorcycle driver has serious injuries and faces charges after crashing near Portland, ND

TRAILL CO., N.D. (KVRR) —  A motorcycle driver from Portland, North Dakota is in a Fargo hospital being treated for injuries and facing charges.

Highway Patrol says the 36-year-old man was driving under the influence when he crashed his motorcycle Sunday night near Portland in Traill County.

They say he failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway and overturned.

He was not wearing a helmet and has serious injuries.

The man was taken to Sanford Mayville Medical Center and then flown to Fargo.

He faces DUI charges.

The crash remains under investigation.
