“What Home Means to Me”

Children who have a roof over their heads thanks to the help of others are sharing what home means to them.
The Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority invited kids to design posters with the theme “what home means to me”.
Children shared stories of their families facing homelessness.
The F-H-R-A helps families in need by offering rent-controlled housing, and various programs to aid people transitioning away from homelessness.
Volunteers were inspired by the positive messages kids shared.
“Because when you’re at the bottom of the bottom, it doesn’t seem like
anybody cares. For somebody to come in and help you and get you back on your feet is really good,” says Allie Arcoria, FHRA Volunteer.
Judges awarded prizes to the top posters in Fargo and statewide.
