Fargo Parks kick off their 27th year of Midwest Kid Fest

FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) — Good thing kids are out of school now – not just for the fire setting thing, but also that Friday was open for everyone to attend KidFest in Island Park!
This marks the 27th installment of the annual Midwest Kid Fest.
The event is put on each year by the Fargo Park District, with corporate sponsors.
According to the district, the free event is packed with activities to spark creativity and imagination for kids of all ages.
Kids Fest features rides, games, and chances for kids to learn about science and nature through interactive education booths.
One of the busiest booths this year was the face painting tent.
“I think it’s just fun, again, to interact with all the different businesses and organizations that are within our community and being able to just enjoy a fun day in the park,” said Tatiana Friese, Events Supervisor, Fargo Park District.
An estimated 10,000 people from all across the area come to the event each year.
