FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – The Fargo AMVETS continued one of their most important recent traditions this weekend, riding their motorcycles to the veterans’ home in Lisbon to raise money and awareness.

This was the third annual Lisbon Veterans Home Run, with bikers from all over invited to participate.

The riders left AMVETS just after 10:30 A.M. and arrived in Lisbon around 2:00 P.M.

They say the veterans in Lisbon look forward to their arrival more and more each year.

“They were talking about it for a month or so after we left,” said Gabriel Skarphol, ride captain, when discussing last year’s home run.

“It gets more exciting every year we show up.”

Entry for the ride was $20 per bike and $10 per passenger, with all proceeds going directly to the veterans’ home.
