245 youth soccer teams competing in F-M area tournament

FARGO (KVRR-KFGO) – More than 245 youth soccer teams are coming to the Red River Valley this weekend for the ‘Summer Classic’ tournament hosted by Tri-City United.

Games begin Friday and will take place at soccer complexes in Fargo, Moorhead and West Fargo. Teams from across North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota and Wisconsin are competing.

Tri-city United says the tournament brings more than $2 million in economic activity to the area.

The club has more than 4,000 members ages 1-19 of all skill levels.
