West Fargo Road Construction Changing

The road construction project on Main Avenue in West Fargo is slightly changing.

Contractors will continue to do pavement work so intersection access will move to the north side of the project starting tomorrow.

The 12th and 15th Street intersections will remain open and the city encourages drivers to use 2nd and 3rd Avenues for business access.

The south side of Main is expected to reopen by this weekend.

Officials say once completed, drivers will notice a big difference.

“I think it’s going to be a more smooth and generally easy for the public to get to where they’re going compared to what it was before trying to cross so many lanes of traffic on Main Avenue,” says ND DOT Transportation Engineer Justin Oss.

Construction is expected to wrap up mid-November.
