Local Chamber of Commerce Highlights and Honors Past Year

The Chamber meets for its annual meeting.

It’s the fifth meeting since West Fargo combined with Fargo and Moorhead, making it the largest local chamber in the bi-state area.

Leaders highlighted accomplishments made over the past year and discussed what’s coming in the future.

They also recognized former Moorhead mayor Morrie Lanning by naming him the 2015 Legacy Leader.

He was chosen because of his work with non-profit arts, flood protection, and the Vikings stadium legislation.

“The most exciting thing I think we do at this meeting is we give out our biggest award that we give out of the year. It’s probably the biggest award in the community and it’s what we call our Legacy Leader Award,” says The Chamber President and CEO Craig Whitney.

Six past Legacy Leader Award recipients were at the meeting.
