You may have seen more people than usual out strolling the sidewalks around the Hawthorne Neighborhood in Fargo.

The Hawthorne Neighborhood Association held its 4th annual Historic Home Tour.

The event allows the public to explore some of the area’s most historic homes.

Families of all ages had the chance to how see how current homeowners have reinvented the homes built by some of the city’s founding fathers.

“Homes that have been remodeled so it shows people that you can buy an old home, and still live in it comfortably in today’s day and age. We have young homeowners that have wonderful color pallets that they’re doing,” said Pauley Wendelobel of the Hawthorne Neighborhood Association.

All proceeds from the tour go toward helping businesses in the Hawthorne area.

This year it is donating to the Fargo Fire Department and Cat’s Cradle Shelter.
