Minnesota State Patrol says nine squad cars have been hit by passing vehicles so far this month.
Troopers say five of those crashes resulted in injuries.
Snow and icy road conditions were contributing factors in some of the crashes.
More than 40 plows have been hit on Minnesota roads this winter.
MnDOT is asking drivers to give the snowplows room to work clearing the roads.
