Woman Lying in Roadway Dies
Authorities say a 41-year-old woman lying in the middle of the road near Emerado was hit by a car and died Friday night.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says she was lying on Highway 2 and unclear why.
The driver of a small SUV heading east did not see the woman wearing dark clothing, and his car struck and killed her around 10:30 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
The woman’s name has not been released.
