Congressman Speaks to Club

A longtime Minnesota Congressman makes a special appearance in Moorhead.

MSUM President Anne Blackhurst introduced Representative Collin Peterson at the Hjemkomst.

The congressman met with Moorhead’s Rotary Club to discuss issues like the highway bill and challenges in agriculture.

Peterson was first elected to congress in 1990 and is the ranking member of the agriculture committee.

Representative Collin Peterson said, “I pick up a lot of information when I go to a town and people come up and talk to me and the mayor comes up and so forth. But this is a chance to get a little bit more in-depth discussion with the community.”

Moorhead Rotary Club meets weekly at the Hjemkomst and invites everyone to attend.
