United Way Distributes Backpacks

Thousands lined the Fargodome this morning to make sure their kids have what they need to start off the school year.

The United Way of Cass-Clay is distributing backpacks to families in need this week.

Families started lining up at 2 A.M. this morning.

The United Way achieved their goal of collecting 5,200 backpacks over the last two weeks.

“I think our community is great, the way they’re able to step forward and help kids in need, because we know that a kid that comes to school prepared is going to be successful in life,” said Kelly Rotar with United Way.

The next distribution day is Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at the Fargodome.
