Community Rallies Behind Susan Johnson

A West Fargo woman fighting cancer is receiving help from the community.

Thirty-year-old Susan Johnson has adrenal cortex carcinoma.

It’s a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

She was deemed cancer free in January after two years of treatment but was diagnosed again in May.

She has three children.

Dozens went to St. Andrew Lutheran Church for a benefit to help her with medical bills.

“The first time she went through this she wouldn’t let anybody help her out but now it’s becoming overwhelming financially. She has three beautiful young children ages 8 and under so we just want to help her as much as we can.”

If you were unable to make it to the benefit, you can make a donation online.

Go to the Dakota Medical Foundation’s Lend a Hand website and click on benefit events.
