Zebra Mussels Confirmed in Big Cormorant Lake

Zebra mussels have been found in Big Cormorant Lake in Becker County.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources confirmed three live zebra mussels were in different areas of the lake.

They say treating the water isn’t possible since the contamination is widespread.

It is against the law to transport invasive species and can result in a misdemeanor charge and a $500 fine.
