Hampton Murder Trial Ends in Mistrial

The Christopher Hampton murder trial ended today in a mistrial.
The jury could not come to a unanimous vote.
Hampton is accused of murdering his cousin after he shot him in the back of the head in his home.

Day two of jury deliberations in the Christopher Hampton trial and there is no verdict to report.
That’s because the jury was sent home around 4:45 this afternoon without reaching a consensus.
They’ll be back at work on a verdict in the morning.
Hampton is accused of shooting and killing his cousin, Randall Doehner, last June in the apartment they shared.
The prosecution highlighted Hampton’s drug use before the shooting.
The defense said Doehner had aggressive behavior and was a threat to Hampton.
