Fargo City Official Steps Down After 37 Years

The man who has run the city of Fargo for years is quietly stepping down after decades in the business.

City Administrator Pat Zavoral is retiring at the end of the month after working for the city for 37 years.

He worked his way up to the city administrator position in 1997.

Zavoral played a key role in the flood fights in both 1997 and 2009.

His last day will be next Wednesday.

Enterprise Director Bruce Grubb will serve as interim city administrator until a permanent replacement is named.
