Monday is a busy astronomy day: a new moon, meteor shower, and even solar eclipse in the Southern Hemisphere will all occur that day.
Good visibility will match up with above average temperatures this week. A Lunar Eclipse is coming in the early hours of Monday.
Not only are planets easy to spot, but look towards the constellation Leo to see a meteor shower this week.

Warmer overnight temperatures will make for much easier stargazing. Mercury is coming back above the horizon in the mornings.
The upcoming full moon is the second this month and showing up when it is nearly as far away from Earth as can be.
Clouds will make stargazing hard this week, and cold temperatures won't help. If the clouds break over your town you will be able to see the Orionid Meteor Shower towards the east.
This is the first week that will be particularly cold for overnight star gazing. If you have a jacket ready you can still see planets well with low light pollution from the moon.
