Fargo Is Semifinalist In Energy Competition

Georgetown University Energy Prize Top 50

Fargo is one step closer to a $5 million reward.

The Georgetown University Energy Prize competition challenges small to medium size cities to create strategies to increase efficiency.

Fargo along with 49 other cities is selected to advance to the semifinal round and will have two years to compete.

Fargo’s plan includes more public transportation, increased access to cultural events and permanent flood protection.

The grand prize of $5 million will be awarded in March of 2017.
