Civics Test Requirement Now Law
North Dakota students, start studying your civics.
Governor Dalrymple signed a bill into law that requires students to pass a basic civics test to graduate.
It’s the same one immigrants have to pass to become citizens.
North Dakota is now the second state to have the requirement, which starts in two years.
The bill sailed through both the House and Senate.
