Horace school parking lot shooting suspect sold crack cocaine & counterfeit cash
FARGO, N.D. (KVRR) – Forty-year-old Garmonyou Wiles of Fargo has been charged in Cass County District Court with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, terrorizing, aggravated assault, and discharge of a firearm within a city.
That might seem like enough charges to last a lifetime – but, it turns out, Wiles is no stranger to illegal activity.
In 2016, Wiles sold crack cocaine to two people during a controlled purchase that was supervised by law enforcement.
Then, in 2017, Wiles and another man sold an officer $10,000 in counterfeit cash in exchange for $2,000 in genuine currency.
Court documents from the state of Pennsylvania show that in 2017, Wiles pled guilty to 11 different criminal counts, with offenses ranging from distribution of a controlled substance to possession of counterfeit currency.
He was sentenced to forty months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, but was freed in February of 2020.
Wiles allegedly shot one of his co-workers on a construction crew working at Heritage Middle in the hand following a dispute.
No students or staff were injured.
That case against Wiles was filed in Cass County Court today, April 15.
A court date has not yet been set.
