Leaders Want More Details Before Shuttle Vote
City leaders are getting down to the finer details of a proposed shuttle service between Fargo’s City Hall and Moorhead Center Mall.
Mayor Del Rae Williams and Moorhead council members voiced some of their concerns about monitoring, maintenance and other issues.
Fargo Mayor Tim Mahoney talked about the need for 100 to 200 parking spots for city workers during construction of the new city hall and re-purposing of the civic center.
Council members were not ready to move forward.
2nd Ward Council Member Heidi Durand says “I think my biggest concern is making sure this is going to benefit Moorhead. I know some people have said we’re going to be good neighbors and I agree with being good neighbors, but there has to be something in it for Moorhead too.”
The free shuttle would run every 15 minutes, Monday through Saturday.
Committees will continue to work on the details of the proposal.
