Cass County Included In North Dakota Burn Ban
Cass County is in the “Very High” fire danger and has “Red Flag Warning” wind conditions.
Dry, brittle conditions with low humidity and high winds bring the fire danger high.
Based on extremely dangerous conditions, Governor Dalrymple issued an executive order for a statewide burn ban with all outdoor burning prohibited.
The order also applies to all cities within Cass County including the Cities of Fargo and West Fargo.
Cass County Emergency Manager Dave Rogness says, “We really discourage folks from doing any kind of activity that would potentially result in a fire outdoors and that includes playing close attention to discarding smoking materials.”
Governor Dalrymple has extended the statewide burn ban until April 30.
It was set to expire Wednesday.
