Bismarck Wildfire Just Won’t Quit

For a second time, officials lifting home evacuation orders for an area south of Bismarck affected by a massive grass fire.

Classes are also resuming at the University of Mary.

The blaze began Monday and reignited late yesterday afternoon.

It was contained last night, but not before some homes and the campus were evacuated as a precaution.

The fire burned a couple of square miles but there are no reports of injuries or property damage.

A fire near Lake Sakakawea burned about 3,000 acres while one near Granville burned 2,000 acres.

A statewide burn ban remains in effect.
