The U.S. Air Force holds a ribbon cutting for its newest recruitment office in Fargo.
The opening of the recruitment office in south Fargo is part of a regional consolidation.
This new office will serve as a regional hub, since the offices in Grand Forks, Minot and Bemidji will be closing.
It’s part of an effort to help decrease spending in the Air Force.
“Being able to come into a place that’s got a support structure of other airmen around them and for their families too, our families need wingmen as well. So being here in an air force community within Fargo is really exciting for our airmen,” said U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Stephen Phillips.
The new Fargo office will also help air force members travel west with easier access to the interstate.
