Judge Declares Mistrial in Knodel Case
A Cass County judge has sided with prosecutors and declared a mistrial on two of five felony charges against West Fargo teacher Aaron Knodel.
He was charged with five counts of corruption or solicitation of a minor for an alleged sexual relationship with a student in 2009.
Deliberations in the case were stopped when it was revealed that one of the jury members lied about past sexual abuse.
Knodel could still face a new trial, but prosecutors haven’t said if they will seek one.
