Food, arts and entertainment has officially taken over Broadway in downtown Fargo.

The 40th annual downtown Street Fair kicked off its first day.

KVRR’s Brittany Ford joins us live from the fair with what you can expect to see at this year’s event.

Brittany?

Alison and TJ, organizers say this year’s Street Fair is one of the largest they have ever hosted with vendor spaces completely sold out.

Street fair goers have the chance to shop from over 250 artists and vendors along with 38 different food stands.

People who came out for the big opener say it’s about continuing the tradition.

“Well of course the food doesn’t everybody. Yes, having my late lunch picking up some last minute couple clothing items. Also sundresses, and then yes probably heading out to the lake but yes I never miss a Street Fair.”

The Street Fair has added three new food vendors this year, and we’ll show you what those are coming up on KVRR News at nine.

The Street Fair goes until 9pm tonight then again tomorrow from 10am to 9pm and on Saturday from 10am to 5pm.
