Kids at Sanford Children’s Hospital get a very special visit from members of the U.S. Navy.

Sailors and reservists made a stop at the hospital to say hello to the patients.

The 20 officers came to play music, share stories and hand out caps to them throughout the hospital wing.

They are in Fargo for Navy Week.

For many officers, there is one thing that makes the visit matter most.

Petty Officer Joleen Clester said, “The kids always have the best reactions, their faces light up when we’re all in our dress whites. It’s not something they usually see. So just to see the looks on their faces is awesome. They all want to try on our hats and kind of get pictures so it’s really great.”

Volunteers from the Navy also made a stop at the local YMCA and Boys and Girls Club.
