Fargo’s Woodrow Wilson Project Gains Ground

The Kilbourne Group’s proposed redevelopment of the former Woodrow Wilson High School in downtown Fargo is a step closer.

The city Renaissance Zone Authority has approved the company’s application for tax breaks.

The $14 million project will turn the school building into 27 apartments.

There will also be a 4 story addition with as many as 67 new apartments and a 1 1/2 story addition for commercial space.

The city commission must still approve the tax breaks.

The school was built in 1917 and is on the National Register of Historic Places.
