Welcoming Immigrants In The F-M Area

Immigrant contributions across the Fargo–Moorhead area are being recognized as a part of National Welcoming Week.
One of the kickoff events for the week was the community table at Rabanus Park in Fargo.

People from all walks of life met to share food and get to know each other.

This is one of more than a dozen events scheduled through the week.
“To share, to learn, to connect with one another and we’re all immigrants and so that is why we bring the new and the established residents together, so that we can have this building of community together which is great,” said Organizer Yoke-Sim Gunaratne.
The next event is an immigrant business workshop at the Prairie Den in downtown Fargo tomorrow at 4 P.M.
