MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – Moorhead police arrested two people and executed a search warrant Tuesday in connection to an incident that sickened several students this week at Horizon Middle School.

On Monday, a student brought items described as “candy” to the school. Several students consumed the items and became ill.

Officers executed the warrant in the 1100 block of 10½ St N and recovered suspected THC products in the form of flower, cartridges, and wax, along with psychedelic mushrooms and large amounts of cash. A full inventory is underway to determine accurate quantities.

Forty-year-old Martin Hulst and 43-year-old Amanda Hulst were identified as the parents of the juvenile that brought the “candy” to the school and were identified suspects. Both are charged with Felony 1st Degree Controlled Substance.

Multiple juveniles residing in the home have been referred to Clay County Social Services.

Police say the investigation remains open.
