Minnesota Lawmakers Apologize to Officer After Accusing Him of Lying
Two lawmakers cited for making out in a public park have now apologized to the ranger whom they accused of lying about the incident.
The apologies from Republican Reps. Tim Kelly and Tara Mack came after House Democrats called on them to apologize.
Kelly says he’s disappointed in himself for how he handled his disagreement with the ranger.
He fined them for causing a nuisance after he caught them “making out” while Mack’s pants were pulled down.
Mack and Kelly paid fines after initially vowing to file a complaint.
