Local Broadcasting Legend, World War II Veteran Passes Away at 98
A local broadcasting pioneer, former city official and one of the men behind the creation of the Bison Team Makers has passed away.
Roy “Pete” Pedersen died last night at Arbor Park Living Center in Moorhead.
The World War II veteran was 98.
Pedersen served in management and on-air in the pioneering days of WDAY television.
He went on to serve the city of Fargo as a City Commissioner.
He was a driving force in the establishment of the Team Makers Club and founded the Bison Hall of Fame where he is in the “Gallery of Greats”.
