Career Day at Sheyenne High School
Sheyenne High School students are getting their foot in the door of local diesel businesses at career day.
The event is designed to expose students to representatives already out in the field.
They can even find themselves landing a job.
Industry professionals began teaching students the ropes of the industry.
There is a new elective course that teaches the basic ins and outs of the diesel technology industry.
“It’s very important. It’s a huge industry for them to get started in, having a high school program that caters to that is going to be a very worth wild program to take,” says Diesel Instructor Ralph Elletson.
Forty students are currently enrolled in the program.
