Becker County Toddler Died Because He Allegedly Wouldn’t Stop Crying

Charges are filed and bail is set for the Duluth man suspected of beating a three year old boy to death.

Sterling Andersen is charged with two counts of murder.

His bail was set at $1 million during an appearance in Becker County District Court.

An initial autopsy showed three year old Steven Warren of rural Ogema died of multiple traumatic injuries due to assault.

The boy’s body had dozens of fresh bruises.

According to court documents, Andersen told investigators he struck the child because he would not stop crying.

Andersen was dating the boy’s mother.
