NDSU’s Wentz is Out, Klieman Says “We’re Gonna Play Good Football”
Sorry, this video is no longer available
NDSU Football will play with a different quarterback on Saturday, after the school announced Carson Wentz will miss the next 6–8 weeks with a wrist injury.
Couldn’t get much worse for the Bison, you lose the game to South Dakota, and now you lose your leader Carson Wentz for the rest of regular season with a broken bone in his throwing wrist.
Chris Klieman met with the media a short time ago to discuss the injury.
He did say it happened during the loss to USD and that Wentz will have surgery tomorrow.
But this one obviously very tough for the Bison to swallow.
“My heart goes out to him. Obviously he’s a big part of our football team, a big part of our success here, and he’s meant so much to our institution, meant so much to our football team, to our community, and shoot…meant so much to me personally. I love the kid. We’ll find out probably more what they think when he gets out of surgery, how all that stuff went, and I’m sure maybe on Thursday he’ll get an opportunity to visit with you guys,” says Coach Klieman.
