“I Never Thought I’d See This Again”: Metro Gas Prices Drop Below $2

Gas prices have dropped below two dollars in the metro, just in time for the busy Thanksgiving travel season.

We talked with some consumers at Fargo’s Petro Gas Station where prices are $1.99.

Many say they’ve noticed the falling gas prices since the summer, but weren’t expecting it to get this low.

While many are happy for the savings, others realize the long term impact it could have on our state.

“I was surprised I didn’t think we would ever see it below two dollars again but I wouldn’t mind paying a little bit more because I know it does hurt the economy out west and I know the impact its having on the state out west,” says Dan Reisenauer of West Fargo.

According to AAA, we’re seeing gas prices on average around $1.99 but Fargo’s Costco is as low as $1.92.

A year ago we were seeing prices at under $3.00.
