Carrington, North Dakota man dies in crash involving semi

UPDATE: The victim has been identified as Gary Boyer, 80, from Carrington.

CARRINGTON, N.D. (KVRR) — A Carrington man is dead after a crash in Foster County.

North Dakota Highway Patrol says it happened on Highway 200 about six miles east of Carrington Monday around 4:30 p.m.

Authorities say a semi was headed east when a truck was going south on 74th Avenue Northeast.

The truck drove into the intersection and was hit on the driver’s side by the semi.

The 80-year-old man driving the truck was pronounced dead on scene.

The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital in Carrington with minor injuries.
