Pet Connection: Meet Chester
FARGO — Chester’s orange just like his namesake snack, Cheetos, but his personality is definitely on the sweeter side.
The two-or-three-year-old ginger longhair came to Far North Felines from a family in the Fergus Falls area who couldn’t keep him anymore, where their nine-year-old granddaughter would carry him around in her arms like a baby.
Chester’s very much still down to be carried and cuddled, and while he’s shy at first, he takes to people quite readily, often seeking affection at the home of his rescue worker, Far North’s Debra Bartelt.
He’s been neutered, and so you won’t have to worry about any behavioral issues like fighting with other cats, siring unwanted kittens, or marking his territory.
And unlike a lot of other combination outdoor/indoor cats, Chester’s excellent about his litterbox training.
As a former outdoor guy, Chester really likes the great outdoors, so if you have windows or a “catio” for him to sit at, that would be ideal.
He is recovering from a missing tooth from his former adventures, so he needs to put on a few pounds.
But in the meantime, his coat looks good, his face is beautiful, and his personality is as sweet and docile as they come.
