Man Charged in Mapleton Gas Station Assault
The Fargo man accused of assaulting a female worker at a gas station in Mapleton is arraigned in court.
35-year-old Abdulrahman Ali faces five counts including gross sexual imposition, kidnapping, aggravated assault and terrorizing.
A translator read him his charges in Arabic.
Authorities say Ali forced a female employee into the bathroom at Gordy’s Travel Center in Mapleton and sexually assaulted her.
He refused to let her out until police arrived.
He faces life without parole.
His preliminary hearing is set for January 13th.
