Man Enters Plea in Child Prostitution Case

A North Dakota man accused of attempting to recruit a teen girl for prostitution has pleaded guilty in federal court.

Travis Koropatnicki pleaded guilty to attempted coercion and enticement.

In exchange for his plea, prosecutors agreed to drop a charge of attempted sex trafficking of children.

Authorities say Koropatnicki tried to entice a girl whom he believed was 14 years old.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

Sentencing is scheduled for March 14.
